The 2¢ Review: Titanfall

"Stand by for Titanfall!"
Hype can be a double-edged sword in the video game industry. While some is obviously needed to generate excitement for an upcoming title, too much hype may lead to unrealistic expectations. During E3 2013, one such game featuring mechs versus free-running humans generated so much hype that by the end if the show it was widely considered to be the next evolutionary step in the first-person shooter (FPS) genre. That game was Titanfall, and it was quickly on a hype train that would continue to build steam until it was released on March 11, 2014. Once released, only one question was on every gamer’s mind: “Does Titanfall live up to the hype?”

Simply put, absolutely.

The 2¢ Review - Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

“The year is 2007. It is the future. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war and new paths for peace must be found. A U.S. cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. A Mark IV Cyber Commando, Sergeant Rex Power Colt has been sent over to gather information and figure out what the hell is going on.”

15 minutes in the world of Bioshock: Infinite

Rarely does the phrase "spoiler alert" hold so much meaning. Admittedly when I first watched this, my jaw hit the floor with a thunderous sound that could be heard for miles. Given the "amazing-ness" of what lies within these 15 minutes, perhaps a little spoiler may be worth it. Purists, feel free to move on.

Now if you'll excuse me, I must go reserve this.

~Cheers!

Best name for a game....ever.

Hothead Games recently released a teaser trailer for their upcoming third entry into the DeathSpank games. And with it, quite possibly the greatest sub-title for a game. Ever.

If you happened to have skipped over the previous two installments of the games (DeathSpank and the surprising 5-month later sequel Thongs of Virtue), you may want to scope them out. Especially if you happen to enjoy dungeon crawlers such as Diablo; the DeathSpank games are essentially hilarious send-ups of them.

You can grab a copy of both games via Xbox LIVE, PSN, or Steam. Sorry Wii fanboys, but there's just no love for you.
